Accessing multiple brokers from one MT4 installation Options

If you have MT4 platform configured for some task and want to check how a specific indicator or EA works with data from other broker, it's not necessary to install a fresh bare Metatrader from that broker and add all the stuff again.

All you need is a server file *.srv for target broker. You may find that in the Internet or get from any installation of that broker MT4.
For example, we have S26 installed and configured in IBFX Metatrader and want test how it will work with MBT.

1. Go to MBT\config folder and find MBTrading-Demo Server.srv file
2. Copy that into IBFX\config folder
3. Run IBFX Metatrader
4. Go to File/Login and select MBTrading-Demo Server in the servers list
5. Input login and password that were provided by MBT
6. Click Login button

Now you have in IBFX Metatrader a new account that is associated with MBT server. On the first connection MT4 will download data from MBT server and display those but not from IBFX.




If you don't want to mix different broker accounts within one platform you may create a new empty C:\MBT folder and copy to there all files from C:\IBFX that already configured and contain installed EAs, templates and indicators.
The broker logo shown in Metatrader main window caption is defined in profiles\configuration.ini file.
