I would be running Basalt on forexvps, using mt4 from active trades as a broker, are you aware of any problems with this combination ???
We didn't tried that combination, so have no information about possible problems. So far we didn't hear about problems caused by specific broker or VPS hosting company.

Does Basalt needs to be optimized ??? And if so how often ????
Yes, it does. Optimization periodicity depends on instrument traded and market activity and may be from few days to few weeks.

Instructions and settings: other than the download and settings up should any other setting be adjusted ????

Is there a limit of crossess that I can trade simultaneously ??? Can I trade all five of them ( EUR/USD GBP/JPY GBP/USD USD/JPY USD/CHF ) at the same time and all the times ????
Technically (EA allows), you can simultaneously trade all pairs available from your broker but not all instruments are profitable (permanently or temporarily).
